Over a decade ago, MensPulpMags.com's Robert Deis and New Texture's Wyatt Doyle teamed up with Josh Alan Friedman (Black Cracker) to blow the lid of hard-boiled fiction's best-kept secret: Vintage men's adventure magazines, aka MAMs. The resulting anthology, Weasels Ripped My Flesh!, was an instant success, inaugurating the acclaimed multi-volume Men's Adventure Library series and sparking fresh interest in some of the wildest pulp fiction and illustration art ever published, most unseen since their original publication decades ago.
From the jungles to the deserts to the mean city streets, MAMs of the 1950s, '60s, and '70s left no male fantasy of the era unexplored, offering "true, first-hand" accounts of frontline battlefield action, white-knuckle clashes between man and beast, and spicy tales of sadistic frauleins, black widows, and tropical she-goddesses hungry for companionship. Plus salacious-if mostly bogus-exposés of then-shocking subjects like free love, the Beat Generation, homosexuality, LSD, and the secret horniness hidden in calypso lyrics.

About the Author
WYATT DOYLE is ringmaster of New Texture, and he edits and designs most releases. His own books include STOP REQUESTED (illustrated by Stanley J. Zappa), DOLLAR HALLOWEEN, I NEED REAL TUXEDO AND A TOP HAT!, BUTY-WAVE IS NOW CLOSED FOREVER, and JORGE AMAYA DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE. A retrospective of his photography was presented by Gallery 30 South in Pasadena, CA. With Robert Deis, he edits The Men's Adventure Library series, exploring vintage pulp fiction, illustration art, and history. With Jimmy Angelina, he created THE LAST COLORING BOOK and THE LAST COLORING BOOK ON THE LEFT, as well as BE ITALIAN. Together with Hal Glatzer and Norman von Holtzendorff, he produced THINGS THAT WERE MADE FOR LOVE, collecting the Jazz Age songsheet art of Sydney Leff. He assisted in the publication of Georgina Spelvin's memoir, THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT, and published Josh Alan Friedman's BLACK CRACKER and TELL THE TRUTH UNTIL THEY BLEED via his Wyatt Doyle Books imprint. He administers the creative estate of Rev. Raymond Branch, and curates RevBranch.com. His screenplay with Jason Cuadrado, I'M HERE FOR YOU, was produced as DEVIL MAY CALL. A member of The Stanley J. Zappa Quartet, a recording, THE STANLEY J. ZAPPA QUARTET PLAYS FOR THE SOCIETY OF WOMEN ENGINEERS, has been released.
Writer-guitarist Josh Alan Friedman sold his soul at the Crossroads of the World-42nd Street and Broadway-and moved to Texas in 1987. He is the author of TALES OF TIMES SQUARE, TELL THE TRUTH UNTIL THEY BLEED, WHEN SEX WAS DIRTY, and I, GOLDSTEIN (with Al Goldstein). Featuring the art of his brother, Drew Friedman, he wrote the comix collected in two anthologies: ANY SIMILARITY TO PERSONS LIVING OR DEAD IS PURELY COINCIDENTAL, and WARTS AND ALL. As "Josh Alan," he barnstormed the Republic of Texas for 30 years, winning three Dallas Observer Music Awards for Best Acoustic Act. He released five albums: FAMOUS & POOR, THE WORST!, BLACKS 'N' JEWS, JOSH ALAN BAND, and SIXTY, GODDAMMIT. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Ria Christie Collections, Uxbridge, United Kingdom, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
