Item description from seller

New, Enlarged, Revised, Second Edition. Hardcover. Quarto. Unpaginated [approx. 128 pp.]. Bound in publisher's cloth with matching pictorial dust jacket. Extensively illustrated throughout with vintage, sepia- and monochrome-toned archival photographic plates sourced from attics, local archives, and private collector portfolios. A solid, complete copy in Good condition: binding remains firm and intact, with moderate rubbing to edges and softening to spine ends. Cloth covers show light shelfwear. Interior pages are clean and well-bound, with minor handling marks and light age-toning along the outer page margins, free of loose pages or heavy markings. The original unclipped pictorial dust jacket is in Good condition, showing edge rubbing, handling creases, minor corner wear, a small nick/tear along the upper rear edge, and light surface soiling/toning consistent with age. A charming visual archive of late-19th and early-20th-century American vernacular life and Upstate New York regional history. Compiles rare historical photographs capturing lumbercamps and life in the deep woods, canal boats, rural villages, country fairs, early railroads and locomotives, bustling small-town main streets, and traveling circus parades.
