nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - A single wave can carry a century. Listen closely to the undertow. In The Wavelet; A Ripple On The Poetical Stream, Adolphus Frederic Marthens gathers a lyrical verse anthology shaped by water, weather, and inward listening. These nature inspired poems move from hush to swell, using sea and wave symbolism to frame love, loss, wonder, and renewal, with a thread of contemplative spiritual poetry running beneath the surface. The voice is clear, musical, and attentive to the small motions of feeling that become, line by line, a larger tide.As a classic poetry collection from the Victorian era poetry tradition, this volume reflects the moral and imaginative temper of 19th century poetry while keeping its gaze on the natural world. Readers drawn to romantic poetry classics will recognise the era's lyric grace, yet Marthens offers his own gentle intensity: reflective meditations, bright scenic pieces, and devotional turns that invite re-reading. It serves equally well as a literature study poetry selection for students of Victorian lyric poets, and as a bedside companion for anyone who simply wants fine poems to open at random.Out of print for decades and now republished by Alpha Editions. Restored for today's and future generations. More than a reprint -- a collector's item and a cultural treasure. As a public domain poetry book, it is also a thoughtful poetry gift for readers who value overlooked gems alongside the familiar names.…
