Blind stamp of the Carnegie Institution of Washington, Mount Wilson Observatory. Fine. "Hartree and his collaborators evaluated wave functions for more than twenty-five different atomic species in various states of ionization. Through his stimulus and encouragement many more atoms were investigated by physicists throughout the world. Hartree's equations as generalized by V. Fock proved to be extremely valuable in theoretical calculations in sold state physics." DSB, VI, p. 147.
