From the Altemus' Young People's Library, with 94 illustrations. This book is in only fair condition, yet still exudes a unique charm. Paper spine label is about 1/3 missing, but still legible, with a black lion and black printing, cover label, 4 1/4 by 2 1/4 " is tanned, has an owner name , and is printed in black with red capitals. The cover is printed cloth, with a picture of a sailboat on a sea on the front and figues in wooden shoes standing on a deck or dock on back, part of a windmill illustration can be seen at bottom. The cloth looks like a piece of clothing or household textile that was used, though by the manufacturer as it is clearly the original cover. The binding is cracked at page 25, and again at page 120-152, a few other pages are loose, but all are present and accounted for. 276 pp with separately numbered, 16 page block of ads at back, which comprise a list of the 'Altemus Young People's Library'.
