This was undertaken during 2010-11 in Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat and a model with crops (Field+Horticultural)- Diary- Poultry- Fishery- Apiary - Liquid manure production- Vermi-composting- Bio-gas plant and value addition was developed and projected as a zero-waste model. The aim of the project was to meet the annual food requirement of a family (having 5 members) as far as possible, sustain natural resources and to present a zero waste model with 1 hectare cultivated area.
