Paperback. Life can change in an instant-and the path through grief is never straight. When a father's world was shattered by the loss of his daughter, what followed was not a journey of steady healing, but an uneven odyssey marked by waves of sorrow, guilt, love, and the fragile search for meaning. In the raw hours and days after her death, Dr. David Beddow's grief took him away from the certainty of a lifetime grounded in science and opened the door to something unexpected: poetry. What began as a quiet impulse became a necessary act of survival-a place to carry both grief and enduring love. He discovered that moving forward did not mean moving on. This deeply personal collection traces a grief that is ragged and real-where darkness and beauty, despair and hope, often share the same breath. These poems do not offer easy answers. Instead, they bear witness to loss, honor a beloved daughter, and illuminate the resilience of the human heart. For anyone who has loved, lost, or searched for light in the aftermath, this is a story-and a voice-you will not forget.
