Item description from seller

Square and tight in heavily worn/soiled black and faded green stiff cardboard wraps. Pictorial cover shows partial vignette of cobblestone walkway and what appears to be a medieval style dwelling -most likely Carisbrooke Castle. Rear cover boasts ads for London, Brighton and south Coast Railway. All extremities heavily worn, rubbed, nicked and/or chipped. Binding integrity remains VG. Previous owner name penciled on Contents page. Interior is clean and free of markings. Frontis map of Isle of Wight has been removed. All other listed illustrations present. Replete with fascinating and randomly gobsmacking 19th century ads, as well as copious color and b&w illustrations. No date listed. Circa 1891 is based upon ladies fashions in ads and a Boarding House Directory for 1891 listed in rear section of ads. A scarce title.
