Golfers have always known the sport is about far more than the fundamentals of the game. Golf is a culture filled with unique customs and even its own language.
And now you have the exciting opportunity to get a comprehensive insider look at that world!
PGA of America professional Kim Verrecchio and golf writer Rick Woelfel have teamed up to create this book—a guide that wholeheartedly welcomes and introduces all newcomers to the sport.
While some golf guides focus solely on how to lower your score or tweak your swing, this work is an entertaining, accessible look at how to ace every aspect of the game!
Look inside for
- golf fundamentals,
- elementary instruction on technique,
- guidance about selecting the right golf equipment, and
- biographies of some of the most influential names in golf.
Whether you’re looking for information about the very basics or you want some practical advice for how to improve your game, immerse yourself in this comprehensive introduction to everything golf has to offer you—on and off the green.

About the Author
Kim Verrecchio played golf at the University of North Carolina, serving as team captain her senior year. When she went professional, she regularly competed in PGA Section events. In 1996, she was elected to membership in the PGA of America.
She has spent over twenty years as an instructor and coach and is currently the director of instruction at the Loxahatchee Club. She and her husband, J. P. Phillips, reside in Jupiter, Florida.
Coauthor Rick Woelfel has made a career covering professional and amateur golf. He’s worked in print, broadcasting, and news, covering the LPGA Tour for over thirty years.
He’s the first to admit he’s better at writing about golf than playing the game.
