Review
We ve already seen the gorgeous treatment that Fantagraphics has given to books like Peanuts... sothere s no doubt that Gottfredson s Mickey Mouse will get the same. Kudos to them for bringing thework of a legendary artist back to today s readers in a way that will honor his memory and contributionsto the medium.--David Wolkin
Floyd Gottfredson 's wily take on the character is revered by the best cartoonists, and Fantagraphics has packaged these earliest serial strips from the 30s in some truly handsome volumes. Take advantage of the two volume slipcover edition for a great value and the publisher 's now signature excellence in presentation. --Paul Montgomery
Over the past few months, [Fantagraphics] have been putting out collections of Floyd Gottfredson's work on the Mickey Mouse newspaper strip, and they're some of the best comics ever put out.... It's incredible stuff, and when you throw in the consistently beautiful design that Fantagraphics gives to their projects, it's something that makes a pretty great gift. --Chris Sims"
