Item description from seller

Very good condition. Coloured map backed on linen. Housed in a card slipcase with marbled design and paper title label. Case is worn with edges torn. The map itself is unmarked and clean. Please note that the key is neatly detached from the map, and is found inside the slipcase in three separate clippings. An early Victorian map of central London detailing the streets named, with an extensive key of buildings and streets linked to lettered squares on the map. Wallis's Guide for Strangers was a popular map, printed in numerous editions between 1813 and 1843. Edward Wallis, with his father John, was the most prolific publisher of educational board games. His father was the inventor of the jigsaw puzzle.
