Paperback. In "Walking Barefoot With God," Kathy Yoder opens her heart through two decades of columns-over 1,000 stories published in the "Sioux City Journal"-brimming with love, loss, and unwavering faith. From the redemption of Alley Annie to the playful antics of bunnies Flippy and Floppy, her words weave hope into life's rawest moments: her husband Dave's leukemia battle from 2005 to 2009, a 2020 car crash that claimed her second husband Melvin yet revealed God's radiant light, and a tender new chapter with Lyle in 2023. This collection of over 60 handpicked columns traces Kathy's journey thorugh hospital rooms, haylofts, and tear-soaked nights. With raw honesty, she shares the ache of the "The Blue Plaid Blanket," the comfort of angels in her darkest hours, and Lyle's gentle nudge of "one more step." Blending laughter with sorrow and gratitude with grief, Kathy's stories form a tapestry of resilience, anchored by Romans 8:28: "All things work together for good." This item is printed on demand.
