It covers the founders' personal feelings on what should be covered in the constitution and how much power should be given to the federal government, and how much power should be retained by the states. It targets the founders' desires to be able to amend the constitution when such amendments are justified and how the amendments should be processed through ratification. Article V of the Constitution lays out the process for proposing and ratifying amendments and the book goes into detail on how this has been done up until the present, and what we must do to improve on the process. There are two ways to propose amendments, and there are two ways to ratify amendments. Congress or the States may approve proposals to amend the constitution, but only the States can ratify. So far, only the Congress has approved proposals for amending the constitution; the States never have. The president does not participate in the amendment process but he or she must uphold the constitution. There are obvious reasons why the States should be involved in proposing amendments. This book is certain to have some surprises and the reader will be pleasantly educated on this important and critical subject. The reader will also find out that there are initiatives that he or she can take to improve the current status quo on amending the constitution. The country needs citizens to get more involved in participating in governance. About the Author

Frank was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, although his family had long time roots in New Bedford. Frank is a West Point graduate with master’s degrees in Engineering and Management. He went into the US Air Force after graduation from West Point and earned his USAF pilot certificate. He flew combat missions in Korea and Vietnam. Following that, Frank went into business for himself, and founded a successful marketing and consulting business in Wichita, Kansas. In 2005, he sold the business and wrote and published his first book, “A Ransomed Yankee,” published in 2008. He then wrote his second book, “Wake Up, America! Understand the US Constitution and Get Involved.” Frank lives with his wife, Anne, in Wichita, Kansas. This is where his prior business is located and he still has interests in the firm. They have four children and eleven grandchildren. Three of their grown children live in New England, and one lives in Omaha, Nebraska.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to CitiRetail, Stevenage, United Kingdom, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
