Scarce William Mayne first edition with nice illustration's by Shirley Hughes - good clean firm interior with St John and Red Cross Hospital library bookplate to front e/paper but no stamp-markings or usage marks, clean umarked pages - green cloth boards are clean and firm with bright clear silver-lettering to spine just faint ring-mark to front and very slight fade to edges of cloth - d/j of good appearanc with nice illustration extending to rear, average edgewear - slight loss/chipping to top and lower spine and chipping to top edge as shown - covered with a new removable sleeve-protector and not price-clipped./.
