The case was buried nearly forty years ago.
Now it is killing everyone who knows the truth.
Detective Elena “Lena” Vale has spent her career believing that every murder leaves evidence. But after uncovering a conspiracy hidden inside Bellweather’s justice system, she faces a terrifying possibility: some crimes were never meant to be solved.
In 1987, federal investigator Nathaniel Gray discovered a secret network connecting corrupt police officers, prosecutors, federal officials, protected criminals, and manipulated investigations. Before he could expose it, Gray was murdered—and the people who witnessed his death made a decision that would poison the justice system for decades.
They buried the murder.
They altered the evidence.
They erased the witnesses.
And from that first lie, Operation Covenant was born.
Now Covenant is collapsing.
Its former architects are being hunted. Confidential records are disappearing. Old witnesses are resurfacing. And someone has activated the final protocol:
NO WITNESSES.
For Lena, the investigation becomes devastatingly personal when she discovers that her father, Robert Vale—officially dead for more than twenty years—is alive. He was there when Case Zero began. He knows who pulled the trigger. He knows why Covenant was created.
And he has been hiding far more than his survival.
As Lena follows the trail from a forgotten basement interrogation room to a secret archive containing decades of corrupted cases, she uncovers wrongful convictions, protected killers, vanished witnesses, and powerful officials who convinced themselves that hiding the truth was necessary to protect the system.
But someone is determined to destroy the evidence before Lena can expose it.
To end Covenant, she must find the people who survived Case Zero, uncover the identity of the last hidden witness, and confront the horrifying question at the heart of the conspiracy:
How much justice can a system sacrifice before it stops being justice at all?
Because this time, the killer isn't trying to get away with one murder.
They're trying to erase the truth itself.
NO WITNESSES: The Case They Buried Is Killing Them All is the explosive third and final installment of The Last Witness Trilogy—a gripping police procedural conspiracy thriller about buried crimes, corrupted investigations, family betrayal, institutional power, and the deadly cost of deciding that some truths are too dangerous to survive.
