FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 7.5 x 5.25 pp. v + 234 pp. Bound in original blue cloth, gilt, in pictorial dust wrapper, which has some edge sunning and wear with chips at head of spine and in corners, and publisher's advertisements on rear wrapper and inside flaps. A little wear to extremities and foxing of edges, preliminaries, including title page, and some margins; otherwise a very good copy. Ecclesiastical novel by Sherard Montagu Statham, religious writer and novelist, who may have been an army chaplain. A very scarce title which Library Hub locates in only four copyright libraries.
