FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 5.75 x 8.75 inches. viii + 256 pp. Bound in original cream cloth, gilt, in pictorial dust wrapper, which has a little foxing at head of spine. Slight spotting of edges, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 32 pages of black and white photographic plates and by double page map and folding map at end. A study of the Thameside towns and their shipping from the Pool of London to the Nore at a time when the London docks system was still intact by Robert Harold Goodsall (b.1891).
