Neuware - A journey of survival. A forest that doesn't forgive. A final sacrifice. Sara is twenty-five years old and has spent three years surviving the death of her younger sister. She works as a veterinarian in a small clinic, lives alone with Luna, her white cat, and has built a life of safe routines that allow her not to think too much. But when the world collapses in forty-eight hours under the attack of a virus that transforms people into something no longer quite human, Sara is forced to flee to the only refuge she knows: her parents' abandoned farmhouse, one hundred and twenty kilometers away, deep in the forest. What begins as a desperate escape turns into a nightmare when her car breaks down and Sara must continue on foot through an unfamiliar forest, with an injured leg, dwindling supplies, and the growing certainty that something is following her. The infected don't hunt. They wait. They watch. And little by little, Sara discovers that they are smarter than they seem, that they communicate with each other, that they have a plan. As the net closes in, Sara faces not only the physical horror of being cornered but also the crushing weight of her own past: the guilt she carries since the night her sister died in her arms, the promise she never kept to keep living, the fear of losing someone again. And when everything collapses, when there are no more options or escape, Sara must decide what she is willing to sacrifice to save the only thing she has left.…
