Copy number 108, from an edition limited to 250 copies signed by Dale Morgan, without slipcase. Ashley was an early American fur trader in the region, and his explorations beyond the Continental Divide helped establish the fur trade in the Rockies. Using much previously unreleased material, Morgan tells Ashley's story from the early days with the Missouri Fur Company to his conclusion as an important politician in Missouri. He also publishes a number of obscure early Wagner-Camp items herein. The illustrations include watercolors and lithographs by Bodmer, Seymour, and Catlin.
