A very large and heavy old book, quarter-bound in worn and faded brown leather, with matching corners and cloth sides. Gilt titles on the spine. This fabulous book is in reasonably good condition, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. Marbled boards inside. The boards including the spine have unfortunately come away from the binding, however the book is intact and only needs a slight repair from a specialist book binder to repair. Printed in Stamford Street and Charing Cross, London, by William Clowes and Sons, Limited. Please see pictures and if you require more images please do ask and get in touch via abebooks. 2011 pages, all intact and all pages, text and stunning illustrations are all in good, clean, readable order. Please note as this is a rather heavy book, postage overseas may increase from listed postage price depending on final destination. Preface by Noah Porter dated November 1890. Memoir of Noah Webster by Chauncey A. Goodrich. Its quite staggering that this book is in such good condition, considering its over one hundred and thirty fours old.
