You were never told this was your subject. It is.
Most personal finance in India was written for a salaried man with a predictable income and a wife who didn't need the details. None of that describes your actual life. Wealth, Wisely is the book that finally does.
Written by Chartered Accountant Vijender Singh Bachhal — drawing on four decades and hundreds of real conversations — this is the personal-finance guide for women that begins not with stock tips, but with permission. The arithmetic of money, he argues, is the easy ten per cent. The other ninety is behaviour — patience, discipline, consistency — and these are skills women already have.
Across six clear chapters, you'll travel alongside three women you'll recognise: Maya, the salaried 32-year-old who can't say where ₹30,000 a month disappears; Priya, the entrepreneur whose business and personal money have quietly merged; and Anjali, the household manager who is the most skilled money manager in the book — and the most invisible to the system.
You will learn how to:
• See exactly where your money goes — replacing the guess with the look • Use the frameworks that actually build wealth: budgeting, the emergency fund, compounding, the investment spectrum • Understand insurance, equity, SIPs and gold without the jargon or the sales pitch • Read the fine print the industry hopes you won't — where it serves you, and where it sells to you • Protect what you build: nominees vs. legal heirs, wills, and succession, explained plainly
The book closes with a complete, free Toolkit — eight worksheets, eleven calculators, and a 20-question Money Confidence Score you retake as you go, watching the number rise.
If this book does its job, the relationship you have with money at the end will be quieter, calmer, and far more confident than the one you have today.
Clarity, not complexity. Begin where you are. Begin today.
