Basset, Paris (1700-1865) ca. 1750-1800 213 x 400 mm Etching/watercolour Vue de Middelburgh. Vue de la Ville et du Canal de Middelburgh Capitale de la Zelande. A Paris chez Basset Rue S. Jacques a Se. Genevieve. tipped onto a piece of thick paper. Good state. A beautiful bird's eye view of the city of Middelburg in Zeeland in The Netherlands. The picture shows ships entering the city. The hand coloured sky is deep blue and the other elements of the print are also coloured in vibrant tints. Very detailed print. The extreme oblong size of the print is uncommon for optical prints. The right corner shows the leftovers of some letters or numbers that have been cut off the paper. Seller Inventory # 61146
