ca. 1750-1800 327 x 496 mm (plate: 300 x 407 mm) Etching/engraving/watercolour Vue de Dunkerque; du coté de la Mer; A Paris chez Larue rue de la Harpe vis-à-vis la rue Pierre Sarazin; (index of buildings 1-66) Damp stain on the bottom edge. Slightly folded edges. Overall state good. Beautiful hand coloured optical view of the French city of Dunkirk (Duinkerke). The coastal city is seen, in birds eye view, from the sea. The pier is reaching far into the sea. Coloured in beautiful soft colours. This city was largely destroyed in WW II. Seller Inventory # 61202
