New York and Chicago: Butler Brothers (Incorporated), 1885. Undated, ca. 1880s. The Electric Series. This book tells the story of Noah's Ark in Irish dialect, with humor that was supposedly funny during the Victorian period and would be considered highly inappropriate, culturally insensitive and racist in today's environment. Softcover with pictorial front cover and advertising on the rear cover, stapled binding, no title page (appears to be as issued), 160 pages with list of other books inside the rear cover. Cover wear includes some chipping to spine ends, binding staples visible at front, pages, first contents page detached, pages age-browned (cheap paper) but clean, no names or other markings. Soft Cover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
