The text underneath the musical notation is in English transliteration of the Hebrew. The title page has a signed dedication by the author/composer to a colleague. Page following title page has a picture of Schwartz with his lithographed signature underneath it. Jacob Schwartz, Director of the Institute for Hazanuth in 1930's New York, and cantor of B¿nai Jeshurun (1914-1953), expressed similar ideas in his manual for modern chazzanut, "I realize the great need there is for a complete arrangement of the service from which a cantor is able to conduct the services in a manner befitting the dignity of the Jewish liturgy and which is, at the same time, true to tradition, and in keeping with musical standards.".
