Thesis presentation copy? Very nicely bound in full leather with gilt shield on front with doves in a row and Deo Duce below closely resembling the Wilkins family coat of arms. In excellent condition. Gilt edges all around; when fanned, the edges are a shimmering marbled effect. Embossed leather endpaper on front and back inside with changeable silk glued on free endpapers. Has several facsimile covers of presentations of Jonson s work along with introduction, notes and glossary by Wilkins.
