Terms of sale
Antiquariaat Berger & De Vries is a bookshop that works in the full breadth of the (modern) antiquarian book world.
We sell both modern and (very) old books and prints, in our physicall store, at fairs and via digital channels. We are well versed in the world of the antiquarian book, in manuscripts and in prints but we also appreciate the 'normal' second-hand book. We are interested in topics such as literature, philosophy, history, topography, biology and et cetera. Special interests lie in art books, artist books, typographic design, advertising publications and company catalogs.
The store was founded in 1994 and is managed by Alie Berger and Michel de Vries, assisted by a permanent club of employees. Alie followed the Vocational Training Bookstore. Michel was chairman of the Bond van Handelaren in Oude Boeken (BOB) for six years and involved in the committee of the Amsterdam Antiquarian Book, Map & Printfair.
Alie and Michel were chosen as Antiquarian Booksellers of the Year in 2011 by Boekenpost, magazine for book and print lovers.
