In the story “A Visit From Santa Clops or The Fright Before Christmas” the one-eyed cousin of Kris Kringle, stops by a sleeping family’s house on Christmas Eve. The startled and frightened father must confront Santa Clops and save Christmas for his children.

Connecticut artist Kevin “Gig” Wailgum, self-publishes a one-of-a-kind holiday children’s book. Gig created the character Santa Clops many years ago in the masters of illustration program at the School at the Visual Arts. He has had illustrations in the New York Times Book Review, The New Yorker magazine and other newspapers and publications. Santa Clops has been spotted on the cover of Seattle's Stranger Newspaper and in other comics. When Gig is not making art or writing, he is a father, husband, coach, cub scout den leader and art director. This is his first children’s book.
