About the Author: Born in Durango, Mexico, Luz Maria Casio divides her time between directing the Refugee and Immigrant Family Center Bilingual Preschool (RIFC), consulting, training, adult instruction as adjunct Faculty at Highline College. She has over 18 years of experience as a preschool teacher, program supervisor, mentor teacher, and executive director in Seattle, Washington. She has a BA Human Development, MA organizational change, and Dual Language Pedagogy, and a PhD in Christian Counseling.
