Vision Realized!
The Problem
Most organizations don't fail at strategy. They fail at execution.
Despite millions of certifications, countless software tools, and decades of professional development, project failure rates remain stubbornly high. Budget overruns, missed deadlines, and unmet objectives continue to erode shareholder value and competitive advantage.
Why?
Because project management is too often treated as a support function—separate from the business, separate from strategy, and separate from governance.
The Solution
Vision Realized! makes the case for a bold transformation: making project management a core organizational function and bridging the gap between vision and achievement.
Written for executives, board members, and senior leaders, this book:
-
Explores the current state of practice—why projects continue to fail despite decades of investment
-
Identifies the root causes—the inhibitors to performance that keep organizations trapped in a cycle of failure
-
Proposes an envisioned future—a practical framework for formalizing project management as a strategic function
-
Provides the vision—showing how top executives can bridge vision to achievements through project management
What You'll Learn
- Why project management has an image problem—and why it matters
- The hidden battles between executives and project management offices
- How to predetermine, cultivate, and achieve success
- The four dimensions of project success—and why they matter
- How to build a project management function that drives strategy execution
- Why project management is indispensable for organizational success
