Item description from seller

136pp. Afterward, pp. 97-122; Appendix, "Words in Crisis", [e.g., credit crunch, deleveraging, derivatives, hedge fund, leverage, subprime, systemic risk, LBO, panic, private equity], pp. 123-136. Light brown card wrappers with author name lettering in white across top front cover, above title lettering in white, across upper middle front cover. Tight spine, sharp corners, NO rubbing wear, NO previous owner names. Clean text, but for small ink "corrections" on pp. 19, 29, 31: respectively, 'billion' corrected to 'trillion'; 'intended' to meant'; 'assets' with a small vertical line through the second 's'. Despite these marks cited, the book very much LOOKS and FEELS unread, virtually never opened. But it; put your name in it: study it carefully: "At last, a fresh interpretation of the global economic crisis that vehemently departs from traditional academic canons in order to assert a new kind of economic and political thought. [Author's] insightful reading brings to light the fact that financialization is not an unproductive/parasitic deviation of growing rates of surplus-value and collective saving, but rather a form of capital accumulation, symmetrical to the new processes of social and cognitive production of value. Today's financial crisis can be understood as an important component of capital accumulation rather than the implosive result of a lack of economic expansion."--Antonio Negri [from rear cover].
