Restocking the store’s magazine racks with Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, and National Geographic gave him a glimpse into a world of possibilities beyond Brooklyn and awakened in him a passion for design, decorating, and travel.Following the sun—and his openly gay lifestyle—Ken moved to Los Angeles in 1964 and founded a flourishing interior design firm.
