The "war-time" issue, published just days before the German occupation of Paris. The cover, a lithograph by Matisse, is scuffed at the edges, a piece torn off at the bottom of the spine. This edition is graced by an original lithograph, a double page coloured print, pulled by Mourlot, of Bonnard's "Sunset over the Mediterranean."
