Veronica Dahl was never built for an ordinary life.
She came up hard, learned young that trust could get you hurt, and discovered that sometimes survival meant becoming tougher than the people trying to break you. From the back roads of Tennessee to the unforgiving streets of New York, Veronica fought, hustled, bled, and clawed her way toward something that finally made sense.
Becoming a private investigator.
But finding other people's secrets has a price.
Cheating spouses and missing persons give way to crooked businessmen, dangerous syndicates, violent gangs, old enemies, and women every bit as ruthless as Veronica herself. Cases become personal. Former lovers become threats. Alliances blur into betrayals. And the deeper Veronica digs, the harder it becomes to tell where the job ends and vengeance begins.
Through it all, Veronica remains what she has always been: stubborn, dangerous, fiercely independent, and nearly impossible to keep down.
A Life in Shadows brings the Veronica Dahl stories together in one sprawling collection, tracing her journey from a restless young woman running from her past to a hard-edged private investigator who has built a reputation in a world of smoke, whiskey, blood, secrets, and bad decisions.
She solves problems other people won't touch.
She makes enemies she probably shouldn't.
And when trouble comes looking for Veronica Dahl, it rarely walks away untouched.
For mature readers. Contains strong language, graphic violence, explicit sexual content, and intense adult situations.
I am an author of erotic stories, mainly involving sexy mature women who love to smoke and fight. When two sexy smokers face off, it ends up in a brawl for sexual dominance. I have always been fascinated by tough and confident women and share stories that involve the edgier side of life. Although my writings are fictional, they are intertwined with personal experiences that give me a special insight to the lifestyle of my characters.
In the world of erotica literature, there are many books that focus on smoking fetishes. Additionally, there is a plethora of visual material online to feed that fantasy. The same holds true for catfights. What you do not see is the combination of the two fetishes. This is what makes me different from others. My characters love to smoke as much as they love to fight and more times than not, they find a way to do both at the same time.
