"Timothy's journey is exciting and intriguing."... The Booklife Prize
That month, in modern day England, changed everything for American retiree Timothy Wesley, and strong-minded Attorney Jane ‘Jakey’ Burrell, his new counsel. He flew to England completing his last work project as an art and furnishings appraiser for a British client. Before he left on this trip, he had just won $982 Million on the big Lotto. Without having time to think about what he would do with all that money, he rushed off to complete his last job commitment. Once at the appraisal site, he found himself completely captivated by the long-empty twenty-seven room English Great House he was to inventory. It had a huge, grand ballroom, still lit by candle chandeliers, and it called to him like a hungry and abandoned child. With his new wealth, his visions of a room full of music, silken gowns, and champagne glasses from times gone by, swirled in his mind’s eye. It was irresistible. So were the noble ladies he was soon to meet after buying the whole estate, moving in, and beginning a new life. Hensley Oaks, built in the late 1800’s, was once again filling with vibrant life, revealing its shocking secrets, hidden treasure, and very unexpected romances. If you loved Downton Abbey you’ll love these books!
