Paperback. An ancient ruin that breathes. A past that refuses to stay buried. When Ashur steps into the Elder Ruins, he expects to uncover forgotten history. Instead, he triggers a living mystery. The ancient structures don't just react to him-they seem to know him. Joined by Thyrius and the steadfast Calla, Ashur plunges into a world of impossible physics. They find dead roots that refuse to decay and an anomalous substance that defies nature. But the true danger isn't the environment. The deeper they descend, the louder the ruins echo Ashur's sharpest grief. With threats closing in from the dark, Ashur faces a devastating reality: compassion carries a deadly toll, and the ultimate discovery will demand the ultimate sacrifice. Veins of Contrast is a gripping, high-stakes dark science-fantasy novel perfect for fans of rich world-building, and fragile hope surviving against impossible odds. The story serves as a powerful mirror to our own difficult times-reminding us that no matter how much feels stacked against us today, even the smallest fragment of hope can ignite a fire in the dark. The ruins aren't dead. They're waiting.
Ashur enters the Elder Ruins expecting forgotten history. He finds a living mystery instead — ancient structures that don't just react to him, they seem to know him. Alongside Thyrius and the steadfast Calla, he uncovers a world of impossible physics: roots that refuse to decay, and a substance that defies nature itself.
But the deeper they descend, the louder the ruins echo the grief Ashur has spent years trying to bury. Compassion carries a cost here, and the truth waiting below will demand the ultimate sacrifice. Veins of Contrast is a dark science-fantasy novel about the fragile hope that survives even in the harshest worlds — proof that even the smallest fragment of light can ignite a fire in the dark.
