Paperback. Veil of Shadows and Thorns is a hauntingly beautiful dark fantasy romance that plunges readers into a world where mirrors are gateways, shadows whisper secrets, and destiny is written in blood.Elara Vespera never believed in monsters-until one reached through her bedroom mirror and stole her away. Trapped in the Underworld's Umbral Court, a palace of living stone and restless spirits, Elara discovers her reflection flickers, her birthmark burns with starlight, and everyone calls her a name she refuses to claim: Lady Death. The King of the Dead is powerful, dangerous, and impossibly beautiful. He insists Elara is his by ancient right-a blood price owed for a bargain she never made. As the Veil stirs and old prophecies awaken, Elara must confront the magic within her and the fate she was never meant to escape.Perfect for fans of The Shadows Between Us, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and Kingdom of the Wicked, this romantic fantasy is steeped in mystery, magic, and slow-burning desire.
