From the Back Cover
DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY?
DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?
Death's victory? Defeated when Christ died for our sins.
Death's sting? Crushed, when Christ rose from the tomb.
Jesus conquered death, but many Christians live as if He did not.
We comfort the grieving with Christ's claims of life beyond the grave,
but we fear our own death--or the death of our loved ones.
In The Vanishing Power of Death, Erwin Lutzer guides readers into
a deeper understanding of the power of the empty tomb. Through
compassionate, pastoral exposition, Dr. Lutzer addresses issues such as:
-Can Christians believe and still doubt?
-Death: The end that comes to us all
-Dying in the care of Jesus
-Your resurrection body
This honest discussion about the end of our earthly lives--
and the beginning of our glorious, eternal lives--
will comfort and encourage, as we learn how Christ
has replaced death's terror with triumph.
