Book Description: Since the last edition was published in 1995, several sweeping changes have impacted the valuation field. Most importantly, industry standards have undergone revision (such as the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice), and the entire field has expanded its scope to include more specific valuation situations (e.g. such as valuation of employee stock ownership plans). In addition, there are more professional associations that offer education and credentials in business valuation than ever before, which should make this edition an even stronger seller than the 3rd edition. The 4th edition will undergo a significant revision, with roughly 40% of the book being new or revised. This edition will feature 10 new chapters that expand the scope of the book to include more specific valuation techniques.
