336 pp, 43 ill. The long awaited reprint of perhaps the best biography ever done on RObert Ruark. It's been ten years since the original limited edition of only 1,000 copies sold out in less than a year. This reprint ed even has some extra photos not in that edition. Through major novels and thousands of newspaper articles, Ruark was known to millions. This old man's boy was a warrior, columnist, reporter and big game hunter. His popular novels are reprinted even to this date. And the demand for this Foster biography now is being fulfilled. Ruark was a man who saw the winds of change sweeping through Africa and his own life. He was a visionary, a man who always lived his own life at risk, and a noted international hunter (There are worse memorials to life than a book or a tusk.) Hugh Foster spent hundreds of hours doing research for this biography both with Ruark's papers and with people who knew him. He's produced an exciting biofgraphy of a man as well as a look at a man and a continent both scrambling for existence. THIS BOOK IS AVAILABLE NOW .
