FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 7.75 x 5.25 inches. 79 + [1] pp. Bound in original maroon leatherette, gilt, in dust wrapper, with publisher's advertisements on inside rear and rear wrapper. Deckled fore edge. Slight darkening of spine, but otherwise a very good copy. A verse drama of the Arthurian legend. In addition to his collections of poetry, Alexander George Craig (1897-1973), socialist and campaigner for sexual reform, wrote several prose works on the subject of banned and suppressed books and on literary obscenity. The Fortune Press was founded by R. A. Caton (1892-1971) in 1924 and continued into the post-war years, publishing some of the early works of Philip Larkin.
