321pp. 16mo. 359 pp. Second edition. In original embossed cloth. Binding rubbed and soiled, but generally a solid copy; leaf preceding the title page has been excised. As this was not issued with a frontispiece according to Howes we speculate that this was a blank. Generally foxed throughout. Uncommon in either the first edition (1856) or this expanded second edition. Howes M-785.
