Most smart telescope owners spend their first three months getting decent results.
This guide gets you there on your first night — and takes you all the way to deep-sky astrophotography that stops people in their tracks. The DWARF 2 Smart Telescope is one of the most capable pieces of astronomical technology ever made available to beginners. But a powerful tool without the right guidance produces frustrating results: failed calibrations, blurry images, lost tracking, missed targets, and sessions that end early with nothing worth saving. Sound familiar?
This guide closes every one of those gaps. This is the clear, accurate, friendly manual that covers everything from the moment you open the box to the night you capture your first galaxy with spiral arms you can actually see.
Inside this comprehensive guide, you will discover:
- Complete hardware walkthrough — every button, port, LED pattern, camera system, and component explained in plain language before you ever step outside
- Step-by-step first-night setup — charging, memory card installation, DWARFLAB app connection, Wi-Fi pairing, and calibration done right the first time, every time
- Full DWARFLAB app mastery — sky atlas navigation, GoTo target selection, night mode, shooting controls, session management, and firmware updates explained in detail
- Deep-sky astrophotography from scratch — exposure time, gain settings, live stacking science, and the exact settings that produce stunning nebula and galaxy images from suburban and dark-sky locations
- Real-world scenarios throughout — see exactly how other beginners set up on balconies, in suburban gardens, at dark sky sites, and during unexpected observing windows, and what they achieved
- Practical tips that make the actual difference — thermal equilibration, dew prevention, power bank sessions, sync corrections, focus drift solutions, and the non-obvious techniques that separate consistently good results from occasionally lucky ones
- Complete troubleshooting reference — 10+ specific problems with direct, step-by-step solutions covering Wi-Fi, focus, tracking, calibration, firmware, and storage issues
- Target guides for every season — curated lists of the best objects for each time of year with specific settings, expected results, and realistic imaging time requirements
- Bonus section — beginner's first-night checklist, quick settings reference for 10 target types, complete astronomy glossary, and a full troubleshooting quick-reference card
Whether you are imaging the Orion Nebula from a city balcony, photographing Saturn's rings for the first time, or chasing faint galaxy clusters from a dark sky site three hours from home — this guide gives you the knowledge, the settings, and the confidence to make every session count. The universe has been out there for 13.8 billion years.
You now have the right telescope and the right guide to finally explore it.
Clear skies start on page one.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
