Review
From the wreck of the Mary Rose to the Titanic; from the Gold Rush days to the discovery of the treasures of Egyptian tombs, this is a fascinating account of the detective work involved in the discovery of sites of the treasures and the incredible work undertaken to recover the treasures. Treasure hunting is not without its risks and lives have been lost on the trail of great rewards, yet still people search for the gold, silver and jewels and for ancient artefacts which are waiting, somewhere, to be uncovered either on land or at sea. This is a fascinating account of the recovery of some of the greatest treasures in the world and the incredible work involved in uncovering them. (Ages 9 to 13)
