My heart has belonged to the same man since high school, but he left me behind without looking back. When I find someone I think I can finally move on with, I realize my friends are right to be suspicious of his shady past. If I'd listened to their concerns sooner, I may not have found myself face to face with an obsessive killer who will stop at nothing to keep the perfect woman.
Cooper
Amelia Jones thinks I left her because I didn't love her, but she's wrong. Every single second we've been apart, I've thought about how to win her back. When Lia asks for my help, I don't hesitate to dive into an investigation that could bring a murderer to justice. It's my job to protect the innocent, but when the person I'm called to protect is the one woman I can't live without, I realize it's not always easy to follow the rules.
