An attractive copy. The artist's study of "likely and unlikely" places, ostensibly English, such as fairgrounds, seaside resorts and festivals. The book also includes chapters on subjects as diverse as tattoos and automata. First published in 1951, this edition benefits from a foreword by Peter Blake and an introduction by Simon Costin plus "previously unpublished ephemera and art from Barbara Jones's studio. including watercolour, ink and pencil studies from her sketchbooks".
