He solves problems, protects clients, and carries responsibilities far beyond his title while others collect the credit. But when executive mistakes, internal pressure, and an approaching audit threaten to expose what has been hidden, Derrick becomes more than useful-he becomes necessary. The people who overlooked him now need his credibility, his silence, and possibly his signature.Caught between a long-awaited promotion and a dangerous corporate narrative, Derrick must decide whether opportunity is truly advancement or just another way to make him carry the weight.UNSEEN WORK: What They Took and What We Built is a powerful workplace novel about ambition, loyalty, exploitation, faith, and the quiet labor that holds institutions together. Derrick did the work no one saw while others took the credit. When an audit threatens the company, the leaders who ignored him suddenly need his name, silence, and signature. UNSEEN WORK
Derrick Westfield believed hard work would speak for itself.
He delivered results, solved problems, and carried responsibilities that kept the business moving. Yet decisions were made without him, and recognition always seemed reserved for someone else.
When a new promotion opportunity at Hensley Stratton promises a fresh start, Derrick hopes his experience and dedication will finally be seen. Instead, he finds himself navigating office politics, shifting loyalties, and a workplace culture that values appearances as much as performance.
As professional pressures mount and personal sacrifices grow heavier, Derrick must decide how much of himself he is willing to give to people who benefit from his work while overlooking his worth.
Unseen Work is a powerful novel about faith, dignity, perseverance, and the quiet struggle of people whose greatest contributions often go unnoticed. It is a story for anyone who has carried the load, done the work, and wondered if anyone was paying attention.
