Paperback. This is the first biography of the man who made the phenomenon of Taize possible. It is the story of a life which has taken Brother Roger from the slums of Calcutta dn New York's Hell Kitchen to the United Nations building and the great cathedrals of Europe; a life imbued with a spontaneity and wisdom that has made him a companion of popes and little children; a life which has seen Taize grow to become the only place in Europe where people of so many nations and deominations, particularly the young, gather in such vast numbers continually throughout the year. Illustrated. 196 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.).
