Print on Demand. This book gives rare insights into the daily life, routines, and customs prevalent in an upper-class gentry household in Victorian England. The author uses Lady Pollexfen, the stern and composed mistress of Dupley Walls, as a detailed case study to explore the depth of contrasting character traits a single human being can possess. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
