Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Nice older book in good condition. Some tanning wear and marking due to age. Hardcover. English. See images for condition. About the book >.>.> A MAN peered out of the topmost window of the corner house on the street leading to the celebrated Cloth Hall at Ypres, and surveyed his surround-ings with a closeness and a thoroughness which denoted that he was not the customary listless in-dividual one might have expected to find in that position. Had he been a Belgian, and these just ordinary times, he would have peered down into the big square below to watch some passer-by, to count his footsteps as he trudged across the wide, cobbled surface; or to listen to the clatter of cart-wheels across the pav?-here wonderfully smooth and well-laid in comparison with that which adorns the road surfaces leading into Ypres. Indeed, the road surfaces of the majority of the highways, big or little, in that part of Belgium and across the adjacent frontier. (MP).
